The Southeastern Louisiana University track and field team will send nine student-athletes to compete in the Iowa State Classic Friday and Saturday at the Lied Recreation-Athletic Facility in Ames, Iowa beginning at noon on Friday.

Bradley Makuvire claimed the top spot in the Southland Conference rankings in the one-mile race, running a 4:10.10 for the Southeastern Louisiana University track and field team Sunday at the South Alabama Invitational at the Birmingham Crossplex.

With just three weeks until the Southland Conference Indoor Championships, the Southeastern Louisiana University track and field team continues preparation as it competes in the South Alabama Invitational Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Birmingham Crossplex.

Tommy Nedow won the men's shot put and weight throw while Kristian Jackson won the women's weight throw and placed second in the shot put for the Southeastern Louisiana University track and field team Saturday at Ralph O. Ward Rec Complex.

The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's track and field teams will send 37 student-athletes, including 21 men and 17 women, to the McNeese Indoor II Invitational Saturday at the Ralph O. Ward Rec Complex, beginning at 8 a.m.

The Southeastern Louisiana University track and field team combined to win five events Friday during the Lions' indoor season opener at the LSU Purple Tiger Invitational in Carl Maddox Field House.
